Ever wondered about how to figure your body mass index (BMI)?

Here is the equation to use:

(Your weight in pounds) divided by (your height in inches – squared) times 703

If I weigh 140 and am 5’5″ (65 inches) tall  the equation looks like this:

140 ÷ 4225 (65 x 65) x 703 = 23.29 BMI  This number puts me in the normal range.
